The BTTV Music Review Is In...

D Bass introduces a boastful yet inspiring sound that invites listeners into his Hip Hop and Rap realm. His seventeen-song album "Self Centered" embodies his proud rap style, highlighting pain, loss, growth, and focus on stamping his name in the music and entertainment scene.

The Milwaukee rapper displays hardcore wordplay and a more arrogant tone in his tracks and song titles. "Self Centered" features true slow, southern-style flows reminiscent of rap legends Jay Rock and Freddie Gibbs. Joints like "Balance" and "Proving Myself" depict his efforts in pushing his message of self-inspiration and keeping things P, or playa, when it comes to his pain, loss, and past.

In his second body of work, "Self Centered, Too," D Bass elevates his sound to create a more lyrical and in-depth perspective of his presence within Wisconsin's music scene.

This project features more samples in the productions, emphasizing some of the influences behind the sound and the direction he takes with spreading his message of "taking care of self." "Self Centered, Too" is a step further for D Bass, tracks like "I Don't Mind" allow this artist to play around with his cadence and flows while still staying original within his lane of Rap.
