The family of Shanquella Robinson is demanding answers for her questionable death, WBTV reports
The 25-yr-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, went on a trip late in October to Cabo, Mexico, with a group of friends.
According to WBTV, Shanquella left on Friday, October 28th, and talked to her mother, Salamondra Robinson.
“I spoke with her Friday evening, she was having dinner, and I never spoke to her again,” Salamondra told WBTV.
The next day, Shanquella’s mother got a call from her friends claiming she “wasn’t feeling well” and had died from alcohol poisoning.
Shanquella’s family later receive the autopsy report from Mexico police. It revealed she was brutally attacked.
“It said that her neck had been broken, and she had a back spasm,” Salamondra told WBTV. “Her spinal cord was cracked.”
A video is circling social media about what allegedly happened during the trip to Cabo. The footage shows Shanquella unclothed and being beaten, but the video has not been confirmed.
The case is still open in Cabo, and Mexican police are still investigating. WBTV reports the U.S. Department of State and Charlotte’s FBI Branch are aware of the incident.
Shanquella was laid to rest in North Carolina on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022.
