2020 is the year for an unexpected reality. This reality has definitely hit the campus of FSU this fall semester.
FSU is setting records for enrollment this semester. In the 153-year history that FSU wears proudly, the enrollment rate has never been this high for a fall semester.
FSU has 6,729 students enrolled for this socially distant semester. This number is a 2.7 percent increase from the 2019 fall semester.
FSU’s enrollment is not the only thing up in numbers. The 2024 freshman class has 736 new Broncos fresh out of the stable! This group of Broncos is the largest since the 2011 freshman class. The number of freshmen is an 8 percent increase from 2019.
These number are truly impressive, but the campus is taking the presence of COVID-19 very seriously. With classes officially in session, FSU has adjusted class scheduling and has made campus more virtually equipped to limit contact between class-goers. FSU’s has a total of 25 COVID-19 cases as of August 26, 2020. FSU has implemented the “Wash, Wait, and Wear” policy in order to sure a health and successful semester!
