It's 47xx bitch, who you thought it was!?
Fayetteville native and rapper Kimar Flows recently released his new album T.G.I.F. 2. Thank God I'm Flow 2, or T.G.I.F. 2, is a twelve-song project that is roughly thirty-five minutes long to showcase versatility from Flows. This particular album focuses heavily on having family at the core of your values.
As the album opens, Flows uses his story of being a family man as the driving force behind the first couple of songs. Flows illustrate for his audience how he has faced multiple hardships as he goes through life as a Black man. His track "Flyers" paints the most vivid picture of how Flows truly feels regarding the adversity he faces. Though it can get hard out here for a pimp, Flows uses his lady to remind him that he is not alone in his journey. "Yasmin Interlude," "C63", featuring Ahmad Latif, and "I Can Feel It," featuring Carolina Dreams, are the transitional tracks for Flows. These tracks initiate a more upbeat, lively Kimar Flows.
Continuing through the album's midway point, Flows gives listeners classics that will remain timeless each time the album is played. Flows' cadence is very mellow and genuinely meshes well with all his features in the latter portion of this body of work.
The first single released, "Night Fall," featuring Nani Layilaa, really set the tone for this album. From the production to Flows' cadence to the story behind the lyrics, the delivery of this track is genuinely legendary. It's not 47xx if we forget to mention the lavish lifestyle sprinkled throughout this fire-ass piece.
"Cloudy Skies," featuring Kornball, and "John Lennon," the only track that has a visual, gives the audience a glimpse of that lavish lifestyle as well as some of the difficulties he endures as a successful Black man.
T.G.I.F. 2 is more than just an album from Kimar Flows. T.G.I.F. 2 is like a novel about the new and improved Kimar Flows. Each track presents a different piece from his life and how he learned from the experiences. Focusing on family, love, and success, Kimar Flows displays immense growth from previous projects.
Flows and his sound really hits different for the city of Fayetteville. Love to hear great artist expanding their music and trying new things with their sound. Flows knew the assignment and exceeded all expectations. T.G.I.F. 2 definitely raises the bar for what to expect from Fayetteville artists. Congratulations to Kimar Flows on his release of T.G.I.F. 2
